As you consider whether the ministry of chaplaincy is for you, it may be useful to request input from others who know you well. The following questions would be useful for them to address:
How strong do you feel the applicant's relationship is with God
in the area of prayer? (scale from 1 - 10)
How spiritually
mature is the applicant? (scale from 1 - 10)
How comfortable
or effective is the applicant with coming along side someone who
has experienced a tragedy, major illness or loss? (scale 1 - 10)
Is the applicant
currently involved in the care of others? (scale from 1 - 10) Why
or why not?
Is the applicant
able to take direction from or be submissive to the leadership of
others? (scale from 1 - 10)
Is the applicant
flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing agendas or circumstances?

Do you know of
anything from a physical or emotional perspective that would hinder
performance of the duties of a chaplain? Explain.
Is the applicant
punctual, and dependable? (scale from 1 - 10)
Would you consider
the applicant to be honoring and respectful to his family &
others? (scale from 1 - 10)
If you were seriously
ill, would this applicant come to mind as someone you would like
to share your feelings with? (scale from 1 - 10)
